Little Angel

\"Thats Heaven over there\"

He whispered in her ear,

She turned her tear stained face

And the clouds began to clear.

Her hand pressed on the window,

Like an angel trapped away,

Her trembling eyes fixed ahead,

As she started to say;

\"I wish i was a bird,

So i could fly this high.

Play with all the angels,

Just me, them, and the sky.

I wish one day that your love

Would drown out all the pain,

A hundred miles from ground,

Washed away by all the rain.\"

The young girl closed her eyes,

And prayed they\'d never open.

She felt her body tremble,

Her frail soul cold, and broken.

She was focussed on the pain

And holding in her breathe,

She didnt notice her own tears,

The tiny drops of death.

The man reached for her hand,

And contrasted warm with cold.

\"Come here\" He held his arms out,

She did as she was told.

She felt his warm embrace

And clung on tight for more,

She realized he was her angel,

The Father she had longed for.

This broken, lifeless body,

Was being held with love.

The isolation of her thoughts,

Were focussed on above,

Far from the pain of lonliness,

Of shattered broken glass,

She was being cared for,

She smiled and said \"At last\"
