Secret Forest

The Trees Whispered The Snow
As Petals Leaked The Ground
The Night Air Grew Still
As Winter Swarmed Around

Quietly I Run Away
Nightly From My Home
And Go To The Secret Place
I'm Sure I'll Be Alone

The Forest Cleansed My Soul
As I Hid Among Its World
Escaping Reality
As Leaves Began To Twirl

The Everglades Stood Still
As I Flourished Winter Cries
Tears Of Glass
That Overtake The Skies

The Fairway Of The Forest
Broke My Fatal Path
As The Cold Grew Brittle
And Released My Greater Half

The Snow Grew Velvet
As I Rained It In My Blood
I Always Fall Victim
When Pushes Comes To Shove

The Monster Of Abuse
Seemingly Un-free
Is The Little Girl
Abandoned Within Me

I dont think words describe the intensity I felt when I read this. You write with such depth. The end really got me!!! Its as if once that cchild within has experienced abandonment it is SO hard to heal that wound both as a child and an adult. THANK YOU
