Weathering Love's Storm

by HOLLY ARMER   Nov 3, 2005

A whirlwind of passion
is building up in me
I've tried holding it back
but it's fighting to be free

With every word you say
and every feeling felt
My defenses break down
and the walls begin to melt

Your abounding love surrounds me
like a slow and gentle breeze
Adding to the wind
taking me to my knees

As I'm taken under
I see your smiling face
Your arms hold tight
anchoring me to my place

You are now my shelter
as our storm rages on
Giving me the strength
to face the morning dawn

Within the faintest light of day
it now occurs to me
You've always been right here
awaiting patiently

*I'm not really sure about the title. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks much~Holly

This is great, Holly, I was really touched by the emotion you convey so effortlessly. The metaphor is fantastic, the rhyme scheme blends into the flow of the read so smoothly.A truly beautiful expression of love. The title seems fine-I might suggest using something like "In The Eye Of The Storm' or a variation on that, just a suggestion, for your tiitle is good.
