So it seems the world has let you down again
It is like that old, unsettling friend
You always let it back in, because you can not keep everyone away
If you had it your way, you would probably tell me your better off alone
But instead you play pretend, and smile like everythings okay

So tell me why you cry at night
So tell me why your sad
Tell me why I can not help you, tell me why this is so hard this time

So it seems the only one there for you is that novel you write inside your head
Telling of how things are supposed to be, writing the stories you won't let anyone see
Each line is another sentence of how you do not belong, of how you have tried so many times
But when you walk back into reality
You would rather not take the time to say everythings not fine

Tell me why I can not help you, tell me why this is so hard this time

So it seems the world has let you down again
Or has it been your scared to let happiness in?
So it seems everythings just so wrong or is it that you have just believed this for too long?
So it seems you will be all right tomorrow, but will tomorrow ever come?
