Love Treasure

by Love Fallacy   Nov 16, 2005

A treasure chest locked up real tight,
Something special hid inside,
I ventured deep inside your heart,
This treasure I tried to find,

I found the chest overtime,
But I didn't have the key,
You held it high above my head,
You used it to tease me,

You never really gave me love,
No matter what you say,
Cause this feeling if you really gave,
You'd be with me today,

I tried so hard to make it work,
But I guess I did fail,
Because you took a huge hammer,
And in my heart drove a nail,

Causing me pain, and nothing but grief,
My life I live in fear,
Knowing that I've lost the one,
That I thought would always be near,

So now I cry myself to sleep,
Each and every night,
You took the key and said goodbye,
Now my treasure is out of sight

Wonderful descriptions you have there. Using chest, treasure and relating them to love, pain and hurt. Your creativity do soar good. I like the second stanza very much, it's a very special way to describe the feeling. I've enjoyed this. =)
