Funny Side Of Me

Large crowd gathering tonight
in a field covered with amazing lights
countless people of all age
never dreamed of this terrible sight

started the show with some stunts flying
popped out eyes, you would hear no children crying

and then came the thunder of applause
for this is what they have come to see
wiped my tears and screamed till i stood still
as they are here to see funny side of me

i know this whole episode is just one man show
to make you smile, number of times i rise and fall
i dance and i even sing
behind the colorful teeths that i show
i hide my suffering

famous obnoxious misconception for a clown
they are angel of happiness and never they frown

reality hurts as there was nothing else for me to be
i will survive as long as i let them see the funny side of me

some people out there are in more worst condition than me
and to be honest, they are my inspiration as they are lifes reality
they are the ones who know, there is no funny side to misery

as I keep climbing to the height
reaching top of field, covered with amazing lights
i see my ashes at the corner and in middle a poker
could you digest the irony
I lived in depression and died as a joker

** i really thought of writing a funny poem and gave the title accordingly, but then asusual ended writing opposite **

    Only a clown can understand another clown right? Yeah, so been there done that and still doing it, and know very well where this came from. Great job expressing it. Loved it.

    I liked this poem! yeh i wouldn't say it's funny, but i just think you should write wat u feel, let it come out..
    that's wat u did and im proud:P

    Cute poem buddy......there is a point in every1's life when we feel this way. but none the less dont stop writing.....funny poems or sad ones writing them are de-stressing and help u in a +ve sense. talking frm personal experience. well abt the newspaper u asked ........the article had appeared in "TOI" in one of the "Mind Over Matter" articles. anyways thanks for ur comments a lot. i appreciate them...
