I look up at the stars
The first one I see
"Please just grant this wish
And let him notice me"

"He's the boy I need
The one I can't resist
Please just grant this wish
Let him see that I exist"

In the hall I see him
On a very perfect day
I feel my heart beat faster
He turns and looks my way!

I'm so happy when I see
The smile that he gave
And that look in his eyes
When I see him start to wave

I begin waving back at him
But turn around to see
The girl he's really looking at
Whose standing behind me

And I quickly walk away
Hiding what I really feel
Tears roll down my face...
I guess wishes aren't real
