Bedtime story

by Emily parsons   Nov 20, 2005

They lay so seperate

She lays staring at the wall
Fingering the bedsheets , where she rests
She waits for his arm to comfort her
She puts him to the test

She looks at him

Her eyes wander as she searches
For the former passion they lived for
She touches him gently and dreams
Of all the admiration there before

He closes his eyes

They remain so seperate, the only closeness
Being the silence between them both
"Goodnight , sweetdreams" He kisses her brow
But no amount of affection, can save them now
