If

by William Sirett   Nov 29, 2005

If you stepped outside your world,
and took a look around,
Would I be standing next to you,
and would you smile or frown?

If I let you inside my home,
and offered you a drink,
Would you become a total blank,
or would you laugh and sing.

If the walls of past breakdown,
and new walls never build,
Would I be allowed to nurture you,
would I be allowed to live.

It's pretty good, but I think this poem belongs in the love section.
I like the way that the message of the poem is very clear, as long as you read it well.
And I like the way that it isn't too long or to short.
I think the second four lines... could've been better but the entire poem together is very nice indeed.
So all and all, well done!
