Experience (Triolet)

Experience (Triolet)

You must experience new pain
To leave the old behind
So that your life is not in vain
You must experience new pain
Connected with a ball and chain
The past stays, always on your mind
You must experience new pain
To leave the old behind

I am experimenting with different poetic formats. This one is called a triolet. I encourage you to try it.

It is fairly simple to compose one. The first line is used three times and the second line is repeated once.

You should probably begin with a statement or observation, then the third line rhymes with the first. Then, you repeat the first line.

Next, write another phrase that rhymes with the first one. I recommend adding a new idea or changing the viewpoint. The next line should rhyme with the second line. You are then finished except for repeating the first two lines.

If you need help, feel free to ask me.

Interesting, I like this structure. I think the ideas expressed are very true, nice work.
