Your Choice

by Kim   Dec 20, 2005

So I condemn myself to the flaming
Brands that daily flail my soul
In the deepest, tortured depths of Hell
For I would rather make love to the Devil himself
Then ever betray or forget my love for you
It will never falter or fail
And with every lash of betrayal
With every stripe of broken trust
With every whip of neglect and despair
I will scream your name
And my howling soul will ever revere your image

Because I love you and it is until eternity
You have denied me yourself, chosen to withdraw
Your beautiful soul, from my life
After giving me false hope
And so, for eternity, I bind myself
Faithfully to the devil
To keep the agony coursing trhough my veins
To keep your memory alive.
Perhaps one day you will free me
From these firey bound manacles
But it was you who walked away.

These tears, these screams
Are because of you.
And now I crawl excuriatingly through broken glass
To rest my head in the devil\'s lap
One or the other
And since you\'ve denied me Heaven
I choose to spend forever in the embrace
Of the merciless, demanding master of the underworld

Come dance with me Death
I no longer care

It's really strange how such a sweet innocent girl can write such terrifying poetry. But I guess that's the beauty of poetry, it gives us an inner look of our fears and doubts. Anyone can write about anything. Awesome stuff Kim!!

Hey, That was really good. I don't usually read the explicit poems, simply because the ones I have read I've just found to be more of a venting paragraph for people rather then a real poem. But that was excellent. I hope to see alot more from you!
