Pain from the past.

by *Amber Faith.* ©   Dec 21, 2005

When I was only 3,
My daddy used to beat up on me.

Mommy didn't know what to do,
Because he used to hit her too.

She begged him to stop the drinking,
He said to her "Are you crazy? What are you thinking?"

Over the years everything just got worse,
He turned into more of a jerk.

He told me when I was only 6,
"You shouldn't even exist"

The man who gave me nightmares every night,
is gone now and theres no more fright.

You judge me and say I'm trash,
Geez, just look at my past.

I'm 15 now and since my dad,
my life now isn't that bad.

I do blame my saddness on my dad,
Hes the reason things really were that bad.

No one should be treated like this,
If you are then seek help quick!

--The end isn't that good. But this is a true poem.

    Hey! You know for someone new at this, you're not that bad! lol, infact - you're pretty good. But firstly I just want to say, I'm sorry you had to go through that... The poem though, was pretty good. I think the reason some people voted a little less, could have been either from the lack of emotion you seemed to get out.. Or perhaps these lines, {their rhyming words were the same}

But over all, I think you have alot of potential and am looking forward to seeing some more work from you! Keep writing, and keep up the good work :)
