Sundry, You're Special

by Kaitlin Kristina   Jan 6, 2006

I targeted you. Does that make you more special?

You caved to my charms, you were conquered by my consideration.

Now, here you are, dependent, alone; you only think I'm with you. I grant you that.

I do it so you don't realize you're nothing.

You're devoid of love, in excess of pain, and you don't even realize.

I hold you by string; It's all routine. I numb your heart to keep control, and you'll never be the same.

Does that make you more special? Does that make me a thief?

Histrionically indistinct?

You're a sundry now. Millions of pieces unworthy of mention.

Like confetti for my party, you're the expense of my fun, my satisfaction.

And it makes you more special, because I targeted you, and you're who I want.

You're who I'll have. You're my captive, I'm your god, and you have not a clue.

You fought no fight. You conceded to my every whim,

An ounce of understanding and a roof to shelter you from external storms, and here you are,

Coping with the one I bestow.

The truth has been omitted, while lack of knowledge leaves you powerless.

I'll take the reigns for you, you hand them to me, willingingly.

You just thought you had me. The truth is, you never will, and your heart will be mine forever.

But you have what you wanted. At least you're special.

Wow.. id hate to be on the receiving end of this.. lol.. your use of single lines totally punctuates the piece and gives it an indifferent bite.. Very interesting look into relationships, so brutally honest.. my fav part was:

An ounce of understanding and a roof to shelter you from external storms, and here you are,

Coping with the one I bestow.

The truth has been omitted, while lack of knowledge leaves you powerless.

I'll take the reigns for you, you hand them to me, willingingly.

awesome ending too - burning irony. pZ :)
