Crone

Wise and ancient
i regally rule
with a scepter of bone
and scales as my tools
i way cause and effect
of each act of the day
and the scales tip and balance
each willful display
karma is tallied
on each dotted line
for i am the mistress
of wisdom sublime
wisdom is mine,
and the balance of life
is held in my hands
as a double edged knife
to be wielded as needed
in death and rebirth
in the circle of balance
and life on the earth.
