Speak now or forever hold your peace

by alive in death   Jan 17, 2006

On the mountain i stand
i am victorious.
i won my first hand
the hand of guilt
i have scarred this land
the land of my conscience

and now for the shocking truth
i will rape my own soul
i put up a fight for the mute
and i regain control
my desire to speak will not go unheard

injustice, betrayal
my eyes have seen
this terrible terrain
of hypocrisy
these houses of fear
that shelter the cold
left with tears
and no comfort to hold

mockers scheme
as they pick their prize precious children that lie in the night
with sick happiness
and the love of pain

wrought iron cages
and mental chains
surround the deaf and mute alike
no hope
unless we stand and fight
use our hatred for the craft
of witchery and sorcery
we wonder among the aftermath.
