Mother nature came to me

by Melissa   Jan 31, 2006

Mother nature, a very kind friend of mine.
She once came to me and said,
"You say you like music,
well let me sing a song for you".
The gates of heaven opened wide
and out-poured a flock of angels crying.
She said, "Let their tears cleanse you,
don't be afraid to kiss the rain".
The melody played a downpour of emotions
and freedom came alive in my soul.
She said, "Do you like thunderstorms,
cause I've got a hell of one for you?"
I said, "Do I look like I've had enough,
give me all you got, show me you exist!"
The boldest, brightest zig zags of light
danced right before my almond eyes,
I have to say, I enjoyed this sight.
She said, "I can give you a rainbow if you want,
would you like to play in the sun today?
If you want the stars from the sky,
I'll feed them to you while you sleep.
You say you want a flower,
I'll name one after you.
You say you want a tornado ,
the winds will whisper words for you.
You say you want the moon,
beautiful wings will come and find you.
Just tell me what you want ,
and I'll play a never ending song for you!"

A wonderful write, a wonderful story. It feels to me that it should be read to all the children of the world - young and old ... tell me what you want ... great line.
