Buried Alive

by EmptyEyes   Feb 8, 2006

Buried six feet under,
As I watch you walk over me.
I'm still alive and breathing,
And all you give is apathy.
You lay nothing besides my grave.
You held a rose, but threw me nothing
But its thorns, and kept the flower for yourself.

Your empty tears water this dirt,
And the empty words you whisper,
Serves nothing but to hurt.
I would have given you everything I had,
But all I had in these bleeding hands,
Were regret and filled with the lies,
That I barely catch to stop them from reaching.

My fingers bleed and rot,
From my desperate attempt to escape this place.
I'm shrouded in sweat and darkness,
While I Carry an aching heart,
With a hole deeper than this grave,
Where I helplessly lay.
