My dearest dream,
where have you gone,
when i was lost
and this world had won?

where did you go
when the roads where hard on my feet
and i had no home?

why couldn't i find you,
when the sun was black
and this darkness bound you?

why did you not make yourself known,
when they said i was blind
and i couldn't make it on my own?

what was your life worth,
if to be stepped on by these imbeciles,
down in the dirt.

i will always lift you on high,
you are my wonder
and you keep me alive

don't take heed to this universe of monsters,
their hearts are filled with greed.
