Hollow be your name

by alive in death   Feb 18, 2006

Hollow be your name

oh the priest

he took what he could

made what tales that existed into gold

worked all his days for crowds of men

in search of the freedom call

he preached the words of saints

he resided in the house of Samaritans

took on the insufferable pain

of death by crucifixion

he loved a woman, who bore the seed

that generations would dispute over

his name was used in vain

they made him a God

called him part of the trinity

part of the spirit

and heart of the father

they said his grace was abundant

and his mercy came to thousands

with forgiveness and love for humanity

he claimed the heart of millions

he shares my body

and he is my will

i seek only to abide in his glory

for all other paths shall perish
