Do you believe in magic?

by hayley williams   Jan 19, 2004

Do believe in magic,
the type the never goes?
Do you believe in love,
the kind that forever grows?

When i first met you,
i learned to believe.
Everything you offered,
i wanted to receive.

I thought we got on,
we spoke every single day.
Now you tell me that
your feelings have gone away.

Was it the real you,
that i got to know?
Or was it just that you
refused to let yourself go?

You made me think you were
honest and were being true.
Now i know the whole truth
I'm not sure what to do.

I'm sat here thinking about
the times we shared.
How could i have been that
stupid and believe you cared?

It wasn't a new wound just the
re-opening of an old cut.
When you told me i wasn't good
enough, it hit me in the gut.

I used to believe in magic,
the type that never goes.
I used to believe in love,
the kind that forever grows.
