If All Was Fair In the World

by butterfly ♥ kisses   Mar 3, 2006

Hearts would be repairable.
Unique would be acceptable.
Families would be complete.

Every child would have a friend
And keep their innocence,
And never suffer more than a scraped up knee.

People would be more willing
To lend the extra change they aren't spending
For no reason at all.

Everyone would feel worthy
And believe they possess beauty.
No one else's opinion would matter.

Parents would never raise a hand to a child's face,
Only to offer a warm embrace.
Those who once left would return
And never leave again.

Dreams would be reachable.
Failure? Inconceivable!
Teachers' lessons would be learned.

Those with a kind heart would be recognized.
Criminals would never take another life.
Relationships would last.

The love in our hearts could be expressed
And destroy pain in the process.
Advice would be taken.

Differences wouldn't be judged.
Terrorists would be punished.
Justice would be served. . .

If only all was fair in the world.
