What the Rain Doesn't Wash Away

by Harley- Angel Of Despair   Mar 3, 2006

With every waking breath, I face the memories
confronted everyday, still brought to our knees
we listen to the wind and hear the lion's roar
it tell us to become who we were before
friends once trusted turned to jackals and liars
inside our heart burn the everlasting fires
the wound won't heal no matter what she tries
we have heard truth from the father of lies
misery is the story, agony is the mind
grief is the life despair is what we find
so now we walk forever in the rain
shameful of our calling, bitter of our pain
so hear us out oh angel of despair
you have taken from us all that was fair
who are you to chose our fate
the rain can't wash away all our hate
we stay no where no place to call home
left in our pain forever to roam
shutting out both family and friend
we wish away the pain, wishing for an end
our simple madness makes walls fall down
kiss the smiling bastard and watch the wiseman frown
love and hate are words left to the past
oaths sworn with love will forever last
god falls the rain that washes our sins away
but it is us who remember them everyday
So now we walk forever in the rain
shameful of our calling bitter of our pain
so hear us out oh angel of despair
you have taken from us all that is fair
who are you to chose our fate
the rain can't wash away all our hate
to be alone is one of our greatest fears
so we walk in the rain to hide our tears
