Faded Life

by Kim   Mar 4, 2006

The shadows of the underworld
Reflected in my eyes
Are the only indication
Of my slow death inside

And when I turn my face
Into the unfettered wind
I find it steals my breath away
With your haunting voice again

My feet are chained to darkened pathways
Following gray blocks of stone
Happiness but a forgotten photograph
In this colorless world alone

I once believed in eternity
But now I see that what it holds for me
Is a lifetime of emptiness
Forever lost, forever hurt, never free

Can you say WHOA? This poem is so far out of this galaxy. You have blown me off of Earth with this one. I don't even have any words to say. I just...I'm speechless.
