Futility

by Tim Fleckney   Mar 6, 2006

Death stalks
The
Midnight shadows
Serpents lay coiled
In darkness

The bells of hell
Ring out with
A toe tapping
Country beat

Masses line up
Outside the
Confessionals where
Priests trade forgiveness
And a promise of heaven
For Hail Mary's and
Repentance

Outside the lawyers
Explain the loopholes
In the contract

God and Satan
Share a drink
And laugh over
The futility

WOAH! This is magnificent... I'm a bit lost for words on this one! It's wonderfully written anyway :)
