Wish We Were Together

While miles apart,
I'll forever keep you in my heart.
Forever and always is a promise I make,
While you're gone my heart will ache.

Miles apart we shall be,
For my heart you'll still have the key.
"I love you" were the words I wish I could have said,
I shall always keep those in my head.

You made me laugh,
You made me cry,
My heart is torn in half,
Wanna know WHY?

Because I saw you with her,
My bestest friend...
All your time now,
Is with her, that you spend.

I know we were never together,
But we could have been.
Yesterday,
Was the time to begin...
