Reoccurring Dreams

*READ "THE GIRL WHO WANTED OUT" BEFORE YOU READ THIS!! Thanks!
-------------------

She scares me a lot
the girl in my dreams
she comes and goes

reoccurring dreams

i wrote about her once, and I'll never stop
she's driving me crazy
and she hates me, i can tell
she shows up in all my dreams
i never want to sleep again
soon she'll show up during the day
one time she did, and in the mirror she stays
looking up at me, she scares me.. can't you tell?

reoccurring dreams

jeans, she's only wearing jeans
she has no shirt on, her breasts covered with her long black hair
she covers the walls of the white round room in her blood
scalpel dug into her wrists
she throws the wooden stool at me
falls on her back, screaming my name
how does she know my name
black hair masking her face
the girl who wanted out is still there, in her eyes
surrounded by flames

reoccurring dreams

still wearing only jeans
she climbs up onto the rafters in her attic, careful not to slip
ties a rope around the beam, and lets the rest of it drop to the floor
she jumps down, and ties the other end around her neck
standing on a chair, she let's it tip
the chair falls with a crash, and she falls quite a ways
the rope tightens, as her face goes blue
she never knew what exactly to do
gulping for one last breathe, the rope snaps
she screams in agony
for her last attempt failed again
she says it's all my fault, and I'm starting to believe it's true

reoccurring dreams

I'll never sleep again
or look into a mirror
talk about death, or dying
the girl who wanted out
or her last attempt
she scares me, she really does
but as i said before, in my dreams she stays
in all my mirrors as well
she looks so familiar
and everyone knows
but i don't.. can anyone tell me?
who is that girl
why wont she leave me alone
she haunts my dreams, and my mind
she's driven me insane

reoccurring dreams

__I wrote this poem around the comment I left for HopelesslyLost's poem "The End Of My Rope (sonnet)". It's also kind of part 2 of my other poem "The Girl Who Wanted Out" inwhich I mention her a few times. Anyways enjoy.

Wow, that was good, you really portrayed it in a way that made me feel like I was the person this "girl" was torturing, for lack of a better word.
I'm glad I inspired you to write this. Keep up the good work, and if you ever want to talk AIM = aiclsgdskse.
