If i Could say..

by Jon Hunt   Mar 19, 2006

And if I could find the words of youth,
And say them now as if a truth.
And even as you and me,
Even now they intervene.
Those thoughts that say it isn't so,
Beyond this point the mind shan't flow.
As thoughts are battered in this storm,
And current rips them, 'part and torn.
But built again, or maybe not,
Built again another plot.
One with twists and turns, the river follows,
The mind, the river steeped in sorrow,
But sun it shines on every corner.
A gleeful glance before that too swallowed,
And dragged around, down its followed.
But not to say we can't live here,
This stream is fast but banks are near,
And apparently here this life is dear,
This life, the flow of which we fear.
But stick to bank you wont move far,
In this life ones needs stretch far.
Let go, release and slip in now,
Let it wash and move you round,
And steer u can, direct you flow.
But turn around, you'll never know,
That left behind, lost won't be found,
But what's important is held all around.
