To be yourself

by Jon Hunt   Mar 19, 2006

To be yourself without a mention,
To lose yourself 'gainst best intention.
I lost myself amidst desires,
To throw myself upon these fires.
The loser left the battle first,
A victor stands to bear love's worst.
Amidst this war a battle rages,
Within my mind thoughts spin ages.
Yourself is left in tattered ruin,
Yet war has passed and peace has flew in.
I find u lie amongst the ashes,
Myself I die from thousand lashes.
The time is now the seasons passed by,
Sky is blue and plants in bloom,
The city buried deep in forest,
Yourself amongst a hidden soul.
