Influence

by Samantha Compton   Mar 21, 2006

Media and common sense
An influence far too immense
It takes control of will and right
Until we engage in cosmic fight.

Televisions, radios
Seeing things you don't even know
This web of earthly remedies
To the world's pain and tragedies.

Pleasure, comfort; our desires
We're thrown aside into the fires
But we care not, for we are happy
If only for a moment's glee.

Even this will not last long
Against the tune of worldly song
This trap of lies and of deceit
Can only lead to our defeat.
