Paradise In Your Eyes

Your arms wrapped around me tight
Laying under the stars that night
Swept right off of my feet
Laying on top of the picnic sheet
Your fingers entwined in mine
Losing track of all time
I had a perfect view of the pond
Looking upon the cattails swaying in the wind and beyond
Getting comfortable lost within your arms
Blown away by your innocent charms
I rested my head upon your chest, felt your breathing against my skin
On top of my forehead, you rested your chin.
Falling asleep, wasting the time with you
The moon a glistening spot in the navy blue
Your lips pressed lightly against mine
So sweet like a perfect cyanide
Lips touching, lost within the embrace
Decorating our hearts with linen and lace
The wind a gentle breeze on our skin
Blowing through the trees, the leaves were rustling
You kept me warm when the breeze got colder
Your hand briskly brushed my shoulder
You looked into my eyes, I looked into yours
The pond lightly splashed up and hit the shores
Lost within your I love you’s, I was hypnotized
Taken away to paradise in your eyes.
