Tears

by Monique   Mar 26, 2006

Sitting still in an utter trans,
Water fills my lost brown eyes.
Against my eyelashes it flutters,
My life is filled with lies.

As these lonely tears
Stream down my face,
It tells the truth..
My life as a big disgrace.

All these years I've lied to myself,
Convincing myself that I'm ok.
Trying to be happy,
Painting on a smile everyday.

Holding back tears in the presence of others,
These tears find their way out
In the loneliness of my cold, dark room.
These tears, my life, all filled with doubt.

    Well done!
