Vision

by Samantha Compton   Apr 2, 2006

A momentary
Gleam of Light,
Released from heaven
Through the night.
It pierces through
In glorious bliss,
And finds the ones
We ceased to miss.

The brilliance wraps me
In its arms,
Engulfing me
In divine warmth.
I'm flying high
Above the clouds,
With glowing beauty
All around.

Then I fall downward
Once again,
Pulled by society's
Greed and sin.
The darkness floods
And takes control.
I shiver in loneliness
Once more.
