Look not Glance

by David Marshall   Apr 5, 2006

You can't have me back,
you lost what you had.
you will regret it,
well thats too bad.

If you can't see,
what you gave away.
You don't deserve me,
not for one day.

I gave you more than one chance,
more than you need.
I made a mistake,
my regret you feed.

So don't say you miss me,
you ruined your chance.
I looked for love,
all you did was glance.

David, you're too amazing for your own good. I mean, you have 90 some poems and none of them are bad... Is that possible? This is an amazing one too. Loved it a whole bunch. Good job David! Yay for you!

I love the last stanza! I read it a few times to get the meaning I think it's quite deep. Great poem I would have loved it more if it were longer though!

The flow seemed a little off i places, but the rhyme was good.

    I didnt understand,

    "...my regret you feed."

But otherwise I liked the emotion behind it. Good work
