My Spirit Walked Away

by Sarah Ann   Apr 19, 2006

Memories-experiences
Painted portraits of the heart,
Killing me, engulfing me
Tearing my soul apart

Inside my mind exists one thing
Memories glowing of that day,
Still eating me up constantly,
They refuse to go away

Memories-experiences
Enough to pull me into hades
The chains are strong and I am falling
Falling quickly as life fades

Inside my mind exists one thing
Memories glowing of that day
Still eating me up constantly
Since my spirit walked away

((I don't know what this is. For me it is a love poem, but for others it may be meaningless. My poetry is horrible lately. Anyway here it is. Please comment and I will return the favor!))

The repetition works really well here, but the second stanza doesnt really make sense, i think there might be a word missing somewhere :S

It really isn't horrible! And I can see how it could be a love poem, with the trecurring memory and not being able to get it out of your head? Or am I like stolling down a completely wrong path
Don't knock your poetry... because it is excellent!!!!
