This life we live.

by Jon Hunt   Apr 24, 2006

**A bit different this one, perhaps more of a song, well thats how it started**

This life we live, but can't find sense,
But still we fight on without defense;
To find a reason, maybe more,
To find the reason we're fighting for.

But you've got to live this life, you know that's right,
Strong by day, but you cry at night.
Bright eyed girl, so alive and light,
You're strong by day, but you cry at night.

I know neither this life we live.
When there's nothing there, you just have to give,
Give your all, and keep it together,
People will notice, and don't say never,
"never will things be alright"
But that's a lie I know as much,
To know that people will always help out,
But still these answers; still you doubt.

But you've got to live this life, you know that's right,
Strong by day, but you cry at night.
Bright eyed girl, you are so alive and alight,
You're strong by day, but you cry at night.

But why do you fake that happy face?
Why are your smiles plastered on so fake?
Why so happy, but torn beneath?
Why the pain beyond belief?
Why so strong for all your friends?
They are the ones who can make amends.
And why do you cry so hard at night?
Why is your world, just so not right?

But you've got to live this life, you know that's right,
Strong by day, but you cry at night.
Bright eyed girl, you are so alive and alight,
You're strong by day, but you cry at night.

There's nothing there, you heart is dead.
But how can that be, for that's what you said.
Now look elsewhere;
The sun is shining, grass is green.
Look at the world;
The Beauty, not mean.
And when at night you turn to cry,
Look instead, turn to the sky.
And behold the stars, a million alight,
Above the sky, this and every night.
And suddenly now life seems so small,
And maybe yes it is sometimes cruel.
But the world is mighty, more than we know,
Maybe it controls us; just don't fight its flow.

So you've got to live this life, you know its right,
Now you're strong by day, And you sleep at night.
Beautiful girl you have seen what's right,
You're strong all day, and all through the night.

    It was a little rough around the edges, but I enjoyed it. Its coming from someone who knows this meaning so I could feel it coming out of the poem. Good.
