Ruby Jewels...

by Lying To Live   May 10, 2006

Watching carefully
Making sure no one is there
She slips into the bathroom
So cautious like performing a dare

She puts down the toilet lid
Not an ordinary bathroom visit
She pulls out a razor from her pocket
And on the toilet seat she sits

Pulls up her sleeves
But only the one on the left
She stared at the red and white marks
The dirty secrets she has kept

And yet she continues to do so
Treat her body like she doesnt care
She wasnt always like this
Once upon a time someone had cared

A knock on the door
Causes her to jump
The razor cuts all down her arm
The blood in her wrist begins to pump

Red blood drops to the floor
Like little ruby jewels
How could she have convinced herself she was ok?
She thinks to herself you stupid fool

So she makes herself up again
Gently wipes the blood of the floor
Wipes the tears from her eyes
And walks out the door
