The cross behind my head,
On my knees I pray.
I look up to the lord,
And this is what I say.

Lord what did I do
Why did my love leave
The only girl I loved
Why did she deceive

Child, her love is pure

Church bells ring out loud,

Body lying still,
The priest shuts my eyes.

She's there to my surprise.

To the church she went,
On that very day.
She saw my dead body,
And new she couldn't stay.

A classic Romeo and Juliet,
In the end you proved your love.
You realized that you needed me,
And followed me up above.
