Crime scene at 15

by Jenie   May 15, 2006

Dedicated to my mother...im so sorry

The mother opens her child`s door.
Expecting to see her baby girl asleep in her bed.
Instead...she saw her child lie unconscious...
Not breathing. Laying there dead.

She wanted to see the covers pulled over her head,
with the blanket all messy with sleep.
Instead she saw a razor blade
with a slice in her wrist that ran deep.

She planned on tucking her in.
Giving her a little cheek kiss.
Instead, the razor blade got to her first,
gave her daughter a kiss on her delicate wrist.

While walking to her baby`s room,
she hadn’t even thought of what she would have seen.
She saw her laying there on the floor,
suicide got to her only at 15.

she planned on going straight to bed after she kissed her goodnight,
saying good morning to her the next day,
instead she found herself calling the police,
screaming to them in a mothers voice of fright!

She never thought there`d be a swarm of police,
but by the min. they seemed to just increase.
She sat there in her daughters blood of red,
instead of her room,
worry free in her own bed.

My mother forever has to live with my mistake,
for I was her daughter,
it was my life I decided to take.

Now she has to move far away
because to her, she sees my room
as a crime scene,
I was her baby girl,
who committed suicide at 15.
