Farewell to What Used to Be

by Francesca   May 17, 2006

No love is tougher
than the one that you and I suffer.
Why did everything turn out like this?
What happened to our true moments of bliss?
Long ago we both lost our souls,
to a power we could no longer control.
In the end our love was black
I tell you this; I can't take you back.
Never have I seen one with such mysterious eyes,
Ones i would soon learn to deeply despise.
The ground does tremble, the earth does shake,
Then my heart began to break.
You said you loved me
I told you the same,
But now I can't even stand the sound of your name,
The taste is bitter,
The sound is aching,
There it goes.
It just keeps breaking.
So now I bid you farewell.
And only time will tell.
Will my heart go on from this pain?
Or will I continue to cry in the puring rain?
The stars do not shine,
The moon does not glow,
You no longer love me so.
