MelodramaticFool

I've been phlegmatic,
I've been dramatic like I'm in a play.
I tried to be serenity,
but one look & I turn turmoil.
I've fake smiles,
I've been hoping this unending dream,
would disperse.
These eyes get heavy & dispiriting,
I'm being a fool in a play,
being my melodramatic self.
I'm putting on the layers of make-up,
to put on my show mask.
I'm getting ready to put on my show,
fake this happiness.
It's time for the play to begin,
I walk out my door.
Being the dramatic fool of freak show,
I've become.
I'm a melodramatic clown,
walking down the steps.
To kiss your lips,
& fake this staged smile.
