My Imagination

My Imagination

I am swept away by your perfect words
That carry me half a world away
Dance with me in your ballroom
Unlock your heart and throw away your hand grenades
I wonder what goes on in your mind
When you write of epic sadness
The love of your life you cannot seem to find
Who could have hurt you so bad?
I love the visions your stories put in my head
I feel as though I could live in your dreams
I could tell you, but I will write it instead
My bashfulness holds me back it seems
To fall in love with words must seem tragic
Words that were written from within
I wish I could be his girl of magic
Even if it is in my imagination

I wrote this for my favorite poet on this site, Timothy r
His stories have touched me in so many ways.
I have never met him, but I hope he knows how powerful his images are. Denise
