She Watches Me Die

by Sarah Ann   Jun 2, 2006

I can't see her conflict, but I feel the pain
Creeping gently and eerily upon my soul
My body is wasted, wet tears I'm tasting
But there is no bitterness wrath at all

My throat is locked in silent state
As she laughs, smiles, and stares
And I can't seem to get enough of it
Of those glittering darkened glares

My eyes they twitch and focus on
The simple, malicious thoughts of her grasp
As she sides with my weaknesses and flaws
And lures me deep into its wrath

The windows shatter, as does my heart
Gradually in torture, my life slips away
Winds and frightful thunderstorms
Scream out there is no more than today

And no one but Night, with tears on her dark face,
Watches me dying in this gloomy place.
