May You Rest in Peace

by Genevieve   Jun 3, 2006

Yesterday, today, tomorrow...
Past, present, future,
Then and now,
Today, in this moment of moments,
All time blends,
Everything is nothing.
And past, present, and future...
All are the same.
For what are we truly made of, but time?
What is our true being?
To live?
To love?
To long?
To lust?
To give?
To get?
To go?
To come and search,
search for that one part of yourself,
The part that never dies,
Yet can kill so quickly?
Nothing lasts in this dark world,
A world of forgotten souls.
Nothing lives long in this fearful place,
A place of frozen hearts.
Today nothing is real.
Today,
Night is day,
Sun is moon,
Light is dark,
And life is eternal in painful moments.
Life is death,
and life is trepidating,
Life is never-ending as pain is.
Scars split,
to reveal open wounds,
wounds packed with salt,
just to feel.
Today of all days,
never-ending,
ever hoping.
So, here i sit my dearest,
with open, bleeding wounds,
Forever dying,
Forever wishing,
Forever loving.
As you are forever beyond my reach, my love,
my broken heart,
is forever.
Goodbye my darling,
I hope to see you once more,
On that fateful day,
My eternal slumber.
I love you.

In memory of: Charles Hampton O'Connor
Rest In Peace.
