Can't Escape

Every step crumbled beneath
Every laugh turned to ice
Every smile led deceptions
Inside my cascading eyes

Photos led only to memories
Poems released more than hide
This painful life I can't conceal
Is a ghost I can't leave aside

Haunting, taunting my every move
Grinning at my utter defeat
Paralyzed by my family's disgrace
I embrace my fears and begin my retreat

Farther and farther from my dreams
Away from all hope and light
Till there's nothing more but darkness
Shimmering around in sight

Whimpering I fall to the ground
Kill me now, I have nothing but pain
End my sorrow and my dismay
Draw my blood from my cold vein

Oh but death didn't take me away
It let me dwell upon my pain
Now even farther to a pale house
Across my shirt, it read, "Insane"

    I think this is one of my favs! I really liked it I liked the 2 first stanzas best i think but I really liked the whole thing! you did an awesome job! 5/5 fer sure
