Trauma Within....

One late night she laid in bed
Afraid of the dark
In peace with her life
She felt a hand passing through her thigh
Then she heard a voice she recognized

She laid still
Perplexed and confused
As the voice whispered in her ear
Some things she could not afford to hear

He told her to trust him
That everything will be ok
To just embrace him
As the night passed away
Among other things
That are just too hard to narrate

He undressed her very gently
She would not move
She just stared at the ceiling
Completely confused

She wondered why
She couldnt comprehend
What was he doing in her bed?
Was her brother going insane?
She was only eight

Years passed by
As this happened almost every night
She thought it was right
Cause she didnt know otherwise

But one day she finally
Understood
What a dreadful scene she played
In the hours of darkness

That same night
He went again
To get his pleasure out of her pain
She told him to get away
That it was wrong
But he didnt cared
He just holed her against the bed
As another night dyed away

But then it stopped
After years of dismay

Shes now 16
But in her mind those scenes always remain
Every night her pillow swallows her sour tears
As the dark always reminds her
Of the trauma she holds within
