La La Land

by JL   Jun 9, 2006

Swirling liquid sky
Dotted with cotton candy clouds
Lemon drop sun
Sugar birds fly around

Toasted almond beach
Refreshing minty waves
Swedish fish swim
Protecting treasure caves

Atop grassy hills
Gingerbread-man runs to and fro
Looking for gumdrop greenhouses
But down which path should he go?

Take the road less taken
Beneath the chocolate trees
Every step is an adventure
With plenty of new things to see

Skipping down m&m cobblestone
With fondant clothes in hand
Went the second star on the left-not right
And ended up in La La Land
