Last Moments

by Lithium   Jun 12, 2006

Under the stars my tears glistened and glowed,
I waited for happiness that just didn't show,
Sitting by the window waiting for night,
For the sun to shine and give me light,

The days began to wilt like roses at my feet,
I left this world before my life was complete,
I was too young to find a heartfelt love,
But not to young to find the heavens above,

My one last wish would be to see you smile,
You made my last moments more worthwhile,
I want you to know you were my last memory,
You were the happy ending to my story,

In my final goodbye I wish you well,
I bid you not cry on the day of my farewell,
Your eyes in turn now need there rest,
Thank you for being there, for being the best.
