So Confused

These emotions swirling around my brain
Tears falling down my cheeks like rain
Can't stop the confusion I feel inside
My heartache is getting hard to hide

I don't want to hurt the love of my life
Because it was him who got me to put away the knife
Yet I need a break away from life and love
So I can experience new things and give life a shove

It is always going to hurt but this is how its gotta end
But I will always love him dearly because he is my lifelong friend
I can't help feeling so locked up tight
My will is gone along with the fight

I don't know if it was meant to be
But I just need to go out and see
Not to have the chains of love wrapped around my heart
I need to have a clean slate for a fresh start

I'm not going to give false hope or false dreams
And I'm sorry if that's how this seems
We may get back together but not right now
I'm sorry for not being a better person but I just don't know how

    Oh yeah... how long where u guys on this brake??... that poem was exquisite no doubt.... if u both love eachother the way u love him then im sure u guys wont be needin luck... just remeber its the things we work 4 that we cherish.

    I wrote this poem when i broke up with the love of my life... for ten days it was excruciating pain but we decided to give love a second chance and we are now back together.. so keeping fingers corssed lets hope for the best..
