Invisible Ink

by Jessica   Jun 16, 2006

I carefully write out
The lines of my life
Each and every
Thought and emotion
Is expressed in this book..

And as each feeling seeps
Into the white page
That it was printed on
It becomes invisible ink..

If anyone were ever
To see these precious pages
My soul would be shattered
And my existence uncovered..

So I write of my days
In invisible ink
No one will ever know
The secrets and lies
That I live within..

This book and my invisible ink
Is what keeps me alive
Is what keeps me sane..

And as I write
My thoughts, feelings, and desires
Melt into the pages
Becoming one with the book
Never to be discovered
Because of my invisible ink..

This is a truly touching poem. I love it.. really kinda sad though, but good none-the-less. I think it explains society today, and even a bit of mortality.
Sorry I haven't been in touch with you lately lol. I'm so used to commenting on your poems like every other day and I really looked forward to it! I was thinking the other day, "what's up with Jessy these days?" lol.. as creepy as that may sound, you know what I mean lol. So yeah, I decided to check out some of your poems again. Great job on this one!!
