Our silent movie

by Katie   Jul 24, 2006

Have you ever felt so helpless,
Unable to control your feelings,
Your heart, your mind, your soul,
At a loss for what to say?

Seeing everything happen,
Unfolding like a silent movie,
Portrayed in images of black and white,
Yet too fast to make it stop?

Or maybe its like being blind,
Only hearing what is said,
Afraid to truly listen to what you're being told is there,
Only taking what you're fed.

Beneath it all i know you will be just fine,
But all I can do is stand and watch,
Be your strength and wipe away your tears.

There isn't anything I wouldn't do,
If it was within my power,
To wave a wand or make your wish come true,
For friends were made to cherish

xx

A true friend can only sit back and wait to be needed, and be there when you need them too. A true friend can keep the coffee-pot warm, and sit, ready to talk about the weather.. This is warm, and shows the anguish of knowing a friends real needs, without being able to help.. But you help by being there. Well done. A fantastic write. xx
